Asteroid data that has been collected by various government space agencies (NASA, JAXA, ESA, et.c.) has been made available to promote open science. These data sets will be very useful for a future solar system economy since space resources are accessible in a micro-gravity environment so that large gravity wells can be avoided with large savings in energy.
